      TALKing the TALK James Hannum, a professor of educational psychology in the College of Education, who mentors two seventh-grade boys at Urbana Middle School, is in his fourth year as a mentor with the TALKS program. Hannum said he decided to become a mentor after the Rev. Harold Davis, the program's founder and a former elementary school teacher, spoke with some of Hannum's students about the need for mentors in the community.
